Faith, leadership and adventure for 17- and 18-year-olds
A year of space to explore what God is saying, discover and develop your leadership gifts, and spend time with other young people from across the Diocese of Oxford.
Across three sessions, you'll have time to reflect, grow in confidence and put your leadership into practice – finishing by gaining hands-on experience on the team at next year's Amplify Adventure Camp.

Three times together
1. Retreat and reflection
3 October 2026 · St Michael's, Bray
Time to make space, dwell in God's word and listen to what God is saying to us. Set aside time to be still and rest on a retreat day, including lunch and a boat trip on the River Thames.
2. Discover your leadership
20 March 2027 · St Mary's, Wendover and Wendover Woods
Explore your calling and gifts, build confidence, learn about serving others and develop the heart and skills of a leader. The day will include lunch and a walk through the Chilterns.
3. Put it into practice
16-18 July 2027 · Adventure Plus, Clanfield
Step into leadership as part of the team at Amplify Adventure Camp. You'll have the opportunity to lead and serve, trusting God to use you to make a difference in the lives of others.
Is Amplify Plus for me?
Amplify Plus is for young people aged 17–18, in sixth form or further education, who want to:
- explore their leadership gifts and calling
- go deeper in their faith
- meet other young people from across the diocese
- grow in confidence
- gain practical experience of Christian leadership
You don't need to arrive thinking of yourself as a leader. Amplify Plus is about having the space to ask questions, discover the gifts God has given you and explore where he might be calling you.
Practical information
How much does it cost?
Amplify Plus is free for anyone in the Diocese of Oxford. Once you have committed to the programme, a £15 charge may apply if you subsequently drop out.
Do I need to attend all three sessions?
Amplify Plus is designed as a journey across the year, so we're asking participants to commit to all three sessions.
Where will it take place?
The programme takes place in several locations across the diocese: St Michael's in Bray, St Mary's Wendover and Wendover Woods, and Adventure Plus in Clanfield.

Why Amplify Plus?
There are relatively few intentional spaces for under-18s to explore vocation and grow in their leadership gifts. Amplify Plus offers a formative step in that journey, rooted in shared learning, community, discipleship and discernment.
We want to listen to young people's stories, nurture the gifts and talents God has placed within them and encourage their voices to be heard and valued. Along the way, we'll help participants recognise and respond to God's calling and equip them to serve with confidence and faith.

We envision a community where young people are empowered to lead with faith, courage, and authenticity - where their voices are heard, valued, and can go to their own churches and communities more confident with how they serve, relate and share the good news of Jesus.
By cultivating opportunities for vocational exploration, leadership development, and meaningful fellowship, we aspire to build a pathway that continues during - and beyond - sixth form, strengthening connections with initiatives such as YouShape and Onelife School of leadership. In doing so, we seek to embody the change we long to see: young people who are heard at every level, champion their potential, and faithfully equip them to serve God and others in every sphere of life.
