Background to the role
For the past two years, St Mary’s Church has been helping those seeking asylum in the area, by offering them our Parish Kitchen to use on a weekly basis to cook for themselves. People seeking asylum currently live in a hotel with no access to cooking facilities and a very limited amount of money to pay for basic supplies. As a Christian community we have a calling to support those among us who are living on the margins of society.
We support a number of local charities and initiatives in a variety of different ways and sought funding from the Oxford Charity Well -Together, to support this work that we do. We are therefore seeking someone who can help us with this work that we are doing but in a more effective way.
