The Rt Revd Simon Burrows when he was the Bishop of Buckingham in the 1980s.
WE recall with sadness the death of the former Bishop of Buckingham, the Rt Revd Simon Hedley Burrows. Bishop Simon, 86, was the Bishop of Buckingham from 1974 until 1994, when he retired and became an Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Winchester Diocese.
He had studied at Kings College Cambridge before his ordination in 1954.
He had been a university chaplain as well as working as a Team Rector in Fareham in the Portsmouth Diocese before he was consecrated as a bishop.
He died on 5 August 2015.
