We enjoyed welcoming Thomas Wärfman (Dean of Växjö Cathedral) and Mattias Östborg (Chair of the Växjö-Oxford Link Committee) to Oxford to celebrate our diocesan link with Växjö, which has been in place since 2003.

A group from our link diocese in Växjö, Sweden, visited us in May to find out about the Church of England and Oxford Diocese in particular. The visitors are all beginning careers in the Church of Sweden.
Four young people from our diocese have travelled to our link diocese of Kimberley and Kuruman in South Africa to form the second part of our Youth Exchange Programme.
A couple from Reading have been recognised as honorary lay canons in Tanzania. Bridget and Leslie Green set up the charity Friends of Amani Tanzania (FOAT) in 2006 and have been honoured for their work.
