The 2025 Code of Fundraising Practice
In November 2025 the Fundraising Regulator released an updated version of the Code of Fundraising Practice. This code outlines best practice for fundraising which, in this context, means any sort of request for financial support. All churches should make sure their giving and fundraising practices adhere to the code and to help with this we have produced a guide outlining which rules you most need to know, alongside some comments on implementing them. We are currently awaiting a template fundraising policy to be published by the national Church of England.
