THE Revd Sally Welch (pictured) has been appointed as the new Diocesan Spirituality Adviser.
Sally will hold the part-time role alongside her post as Associate Vicar of St Margaret's and St Giles, Oxford. Sally, who has written books on pilgrimage and praying the labyrinth, says that much of her role will be about making connections between people who are already exploring spirituality and those who want support.
"I'll be helping people to get in touch with each other," she says.
"In some cases it will mean holding workshops and events to enhance their experience. " Sally will be part of the team planning the 'Imagining faith' gathering for the whole church family in September 2014.
