This weekend the diocese hosted its annual youth camp – Amplify Adventure.
Kathryn Aboud, Discipleship Enabler, writes...
"There was a brilliant buzz of excitement as young people from all over the diocese came together at Adventure Plus in Clanfield. High fives and hugs were given as they reunited with friends from last year and gathered on Friday night to worship – led by the youth.
"Our theme was to invite the youth to think about ‘what we need to take with us on an adventure with God’. There was much fun and chatter over the weekend, with new relationships being formed and times to be still and encounter God.
"We had the fantastic zorbs back, the youth managed incredibly as temperatures soared to 30 degrees, and this year saw extra activities of a late night walk, climbing wall and water games with sponges! What will stick with us the most is that so many of the youth from all sorts of backgrounds and faith journeys were together, worshipping, praying and dwelling together."
The Revd Jen Green, a Curate in Bradfield, reflected: “There was a really good balance between activities and time spent in small groups and worship, and it was so great to see the young people grow and develop in the time we spent together. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to join the team for the weekend.”
