Just as God shares in our sufferings, so he also shares in our consolation. This service invites us all to come together and engage with the reality of our ministry – to share in our lament and healing as we walk this journey together.

Explore the Psalms as tools for articulating grief and struggle, public and private, to God and to one another. Fresh translations provide a way to engage and study texts, acknowledging the feelings and thoughts of those who composed them and those who read, recite or pray them today. Megan Daffern teaches the Hebrew Bible in Cambridge.
The only thing which can truly help us in an increasingly challenging landscape is a fresh hearing of the words of Jesus. In the first of two sessions, Ian Parkinson invites you to engage anew with the heart of our calling and how we understand our role as leaders. Ian works with the Diocese of Sheffield helping clergy develop the ministry of all God’s people and spent 30 years in parish ministry.
3D Coaching’s Su Blanch provides a space for clergy to consider approaches to building healthy relationships with key leaders in their own context, minimising possibilities for relationship breakdown. Su works with clergy across the Church of England, coaching on relationships and issues in parish contexts.
There’s a time for laughter and a time for tears - and sometimes both at once. Explore the role of laughter in darker times and delve into laughter as a participation in God and a lens to encounter anew sections of scripture. Led by Ian Macdonald, diocesan Discipleship Enabler, and the Revd Dr Andrea Russell, Director of Formation for Ministry.
How do you replenish the energy used up in everyday ministerial life? Psychotherapist and Anglican priest Anne Holmes looks at how we can resource ourselves through the creative arts and other outlets. Featuring a short example of creative repair through music and a variety of art works.
