Are you a priest, currently based in the Diocese of Oxford, looking to develop your leadership skills in a senior diocesan role?
About the role:
This Associate Archdeacon role offers and exciting chance to work closely with the Bishop and Archdeacon in supporting the life and mission of the Berkshire Archdeaconry. God is at work through a range of dedicated parishes and impactful projects across our archdeaconry that will be energised by your collaborative leadership, clear communication and adept problem solving.
The role is ideal for clergy seeking to broaden their experience and develop the skills required for senior church leadership. You will gain hands-on experience in clergy appointments, pastoral oversight, church inspections, safeguarding, and diocesan finance, while also playing a key role in shaping mission strategy and ensuring that under-represented groups are welcomed.
This role is open to clergy currently serving in our diocese, who have been in holy orders for at least six years, as we are committed to nurturing and developing the gifts of our clergy, encouraging growth and progression in a supportive and collaborative environment.
If you feel called to explore this next step in your ministry, we would love to hear from you! You are welcome to contact the Archdeacon of Berkshire, the Venerable Stephen Pullin, at archdeacon.berkshire@oxford.anglican.org to learn more.
