Bodicote St John the Baptist Vicar

Bodicote is a vibrant parish situated two miles south of Banbury, which has many amenities and excellent road and rail links.  The parish has expanded during the past decade with new housing developments surrounding the village, providing wonderful opportunities for mission. 

We’re looking for a priest with a strong and infectious faith who is

·    an effective communicator, able to build on what we have which works well and develop new initiatives, especially those that will encourage        children and families.
·    energetic and open to explore opportunities for growth.
·    comfortable with exploring different styles of worship which are spiritually enriching and inclusive.
·    happy to be a visible presence in our community (Hi-Viz not essential!).
·    an encouraging and supportive team player.
·    organised, with good admin skills and comfortable with IT.

·    a single parish benefice, which is financially sound and has always paid the Parish Share in full.
·    a strong team of committed churchwardens, treasurer, safeguarding lead, PCC and paid administrative support.
·    a small band of dedicated volunteers, who have begun exploring opportunities for outreach.
·    a good relationship with the three primary schools in the parish.
·    an attractive church in the heart of the village, which is open every day for prayer and reflection.
·    Wi-Fi, with its numerous opportunities, available in Church and Church House.
·    a comfortable and modern vicarage a short walk from the church.
