The Diocese of Oxford is seeking an experienced consultant/project manager to lead the establishment of a new peer-led Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO) Network which aims to strengthen safeguarding structures in parishes. This project is funded by the National Safeguarding Team’s Innovation and Impact Fund.
Days: Estimated 55 days of work
Contract: 12 months (January 2026 to December 2026)
Location: Hybrid, remote working with extensive travel within the Diocese of Oxford
Payment will be made every two months within 30 days. The Diocese will also cover reasonable expenses including travel.
Closing date for receipt of applications: Sunday 23 November 2025
The project manager will lead the co-design, pilot and roll-out phases; manage evaluation; and ensure a smooth handover to the diocesan safeguarding team.
We’re looking for someone with strong project management and facilitation experience, skills in co-production, network-building, understanding of safeguarding and church environments as well as excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
