This appointment is for six months initially, with review after three months and the possibility of negotiated renewal on completion.

St Mary’s is a Church of England congregation serving around 6,000 people living in Barton, Sandhills and Barton Park. We are a diverse, multi-cultural family of all ages and backgrounds. This is a new role in the life of St Mary’s to manage the operational administration of the church.
About the role
We are seeking to appoint a Church Manager who is reliable and diligent with experience in administration and management and has good communication and people skills. The successful candidate will:
- Work closely with the church leadership team, working together towards the achievement of our mission, promoting worship and
- encouraging Christian faith in the parish.
- Assist with identifying, creating and implementing operational and reporting structures at St Mary’s.
- Encourage Team building within those structures.
- Line manage staff employed by the Parochial Church Council.

It is expected that the Church Manager will participate fully in the worshipping life of St Mary’s.
This role has an Occupational Requirement to be a Christian, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010.
