The new Rector will join the 4U Team at a time of change, growth and new life across all our four churches, four schools and extensive community engagement. The Rector’s opportunity will be to lead the wider parish forward together, as well as leading and discerning vision locally in the main part of the role at All Saints’ Marlow (ASM). A vibrant church in the centre of this thriving and desirable Thames-side town, it is an exciting time, seeing wonderful growth in Alpha, children’s and youth activities in church and across schools.
Due to the previous Team Rector becoming the Bishop of Buckingham, we are looking for a Team Rector who is:
- Jesus-focussed, a Spirit-led leader, preacher and pastor who will nurture, challenge and refresh
- full of wisdom, energy and enthusiasm
- able to help to discern God’s vision with us and lead in further developing wider leadership training, equipping and releasing many to serve across our congregations
- experienced in nurturing a culture of discipleship that multiplies and develops into ‘new wineskins’ fit to sustain the growth and new life we are experiencing in all our churches
- a strong team and community leader, bringing experience from the workplace or church.
We offer:
- warm and serving church communities who desire to grow in God, want to be deeply rooted in the Bible and prayer, to reach out with love and welcome and be empowered by the Holy Spirit
- a welcoming clergy team and congregations who together are flourishing and supportive.
