Parish Dashboards
What's a parish dashboard?
You submit data every year, through your Statistics for Mission and Returns of Parish Finance. This, alongside information from the 2021 UK Census, can start to paint a picture of what's happening in our parishes. Parish dashboards bring all of that information together in an easy-to-use format.
How do I find my dashboard?
Just three quick steps:
- Use the search bar below to enter your parish or deanery name. It's best to start vague, and remember this isn't your church name - you would need to search for 'Winslow', for example, not 'St Laurence Winslow'. If you're interested in deanery-level date, you can also search 'Deanery'.
- Click the name of the parish or deanery you'd like to explore.
- The next page will contain links to three dashboards - Statistics for Mission, Returns of Parish Finance, and Census data. You can download each of these by clicking the link and then clicking the save icon in the top right of your browser.
What do I do with it?
How does your own congregation compare with the profile given in the Census data for your area? What's the picture across your neighbouring churches, or through your deanery? What might God be calling your parish to do in response? You might like to discuss them in a PCC or planning meeting, to help you shape your next steps.
Do feel free to contact your Parish Development Adviser, your Discipleship Enabler (in relation to children or young people), or our Racial Justice Adviser (in relation to ethnicity). If you have any queries, our part-time data analyst Dr Bev Botting will be pleased to help too.
I'm having an issue
This is a big database - a few things are bound to have gone a bit wonky! If something's not behaving as it should, or you can't find what you're looking for, get in touch with the Communications team.
