SATURDAY 1 Our link Diocese of Nandyal, India: Giving thanks for the appointment of Bishop Santhosh, and praying for him as he settles into his new ministry. Pray, too, for the diocese’s work in schools and with children and young people in an increasingly difficult regulatory environment.


MONDAY 3 Little Missenden: John Simpson - Vicar, Marian Dickinson-Collins, Gareth Beynon. For our ministry to young people and our monthly ‘Sundays@10’ family service.

TUESDAY 4 Great Missenden with Ballinger and Little Hampden: Malcolm Chalmers - Vicar, Patricia Neale. For the appointment of a lay Pioneer Minister for youth and families. For our ongoing community work alongside Great Missenden Church of England Primary School. 


WEDNESDAY 5 The Lee, The Chilterns: Chris Haywood - Vicar. The family service congregation continues to flourish and develops into a community. For volunteers to step forward into positions of responsibility and service.


THURSDAY 6 Witney Deanery: Margaret Dixon - Area Dean, Matt Beer, Janice Collier, Maria Skoyles, David Eaton. Pray as we continue to develop our mission priorities and work together across the Deanery. For all the clergy chapter and especially for those who are struggling to remain well in body and mind.


FRIDAY 7 Shill Valley and Broadshire, West Oxon: Harry MacInnes - Rector, Dennis Stamps. Give thanks for all who serve in ministry across our benefice of 11 churches, and for every act of care and witness in our villages and particularly our Church Wardens. As we mark remembrance, pray for peace in our world and in our communities; for those who grieve, and for hearts open to the light of Christ as Advent approaches. SATURDAY 8 Cogges and South Leigh, Witney: Matt Beer - Vicar, Chris Rimmer, Andy Reid, Greg Downes, Sam Tippetts, Ian Smith, Marilyn Graves, Fabi Angel, Matt White, Naomi Taylor, Jennifer Chapman. For the Holy Spirit to turn our church community outward to love and serve our community. For coming outreach events that we would see people come to know Jesus.

MONDAY 10 Bampton with Clanfield: Janice Collier - Vicar, Ron Curtis, Colin Randall, Andrew Wright, Drew Tweedy, James Newcome, Billie Tweedy. We have just done Giving in Grace campaign and are hoping for some fruit! Alpha Course in co-operation with Aston and Cote Fellowship Church. Trying to get some youth work going is difficult, but we have great volunteers.

TUESDAY 11 Brize Norton with Carterton and Black Bourton: Barry Hanson - Rector, Lyndsay Baker, Wend Smith. We are searching for a Team Vicar. Please pray that the right person feels called to come forward to fill this post. We give thanks for people's generosity and that others may be generous in their hearts to help in the life and work of the churches in the benefice.

WEDNESDAY 12 Burford with Fulbrook and Taynton, Asthall with Swinbrook and Widford: Tom Putt - Vicar, Tim Adams, Jo Vickers, Cedric Reavley, Andrew Wingfield Digby, Gerald March, Alex Ross, Stephen Bessent, Martin Bailey, Phil Parker, Martin Down. Give thanks that the changes to the service pattern in the Benefice have gone smoothly and allowed for ongoing growth of people. Please pray for the opportunities that Remembrance, Blue Sunday and Civic Carols give to connect people from the local community to Christ and the church. 


THURSDAY 13 Ducklington with Hardwick: Andrea Colbrook - Rector, David Adams, Ruth Edy, Johan Schoeman, John Hughes. Give thanks for the vibrant life of our church as we host our All Souls service, Christmas Fair and Confirmation service. Pray for resilience and renewed strength for Revd Andrea, Retired minister Bob, LLMs David, Ruth, Johan, Roy and all who serve in ministry, as we prepare for the busy Advent and Christmas season ahead.

FRIDAY 14 Witney: Hester Jones - Team Rector, Chris Dingwall-Jones, Richard Young, Mark Thomas, Dianne Augustine, Jacky Bone, Kirsty Morgan. For our work with children, young people and schools. Our work in responding fruitfully to the climate crisis.

SATURDAY 15 Wokingham: Hannah Higginson - Rector, Colin James. For our annual bereavement service on 16 November and for all who will attend. For all our local schools and growing relationships with them, especially for our link school All Saints CE Primary school. Giving thanks and praying for Revd Anthea Platt who will join us as Associate Priest in January.


MONDAY 17 Lower Windrush: Jo Judson - Rector. Give thanks for the welcome, support and friendship people find within the church community and for recent newcomers to church, that their faith would grow. Pray for the housebound and for those who are unwell in body, mind or spirit.  Pray also for the local schools and for our local care home that staff and volunteers would have strength and wisdom each day.

TUESDAY 18 Sonning Deanery: Laura Wheatley Downs - Area Dean, Leigh Welham, Anthony Pollock. Giving thanks for a full deanery chapter with lots of new colleagues. Beginning a discernment process for our deanery plan, pray that we would notice where God is at work, and be able draw together a plan which is supportive, encouraging and enables our parishes to flourish.


WEDNESDAY 19 North Leigh: Margaret Dixon - Vicar, Jan Fowler, Tony Fowler, John Brown, Elizabeth Mason. For our plans of engaging more with our local community. For our developing work with North Leigh CE Primary School.


THURSDAY 20 Wargrave with Knowl Hill: David Chislett - Vicar, Steve Turvill. That our churches will be known as a Place of Grace. For our growing ministry with children and young families in our churches and schools.

FRIDAY 21 Finchampstead and California, nr Wokingham: Gemma Donnell - Rector, Yvonne Pett-Ridge. For the preparations for the arrival of new Associate Priest, Revd Cathryn Howse. For our new toddler group, Seedlings.

SATURDAY 22 Wokingham St Paul: Sam Tanna-Korn - Rector, Cara Smart, Judi Hattaway. For the development of the church's musical life, especially its outreach among children and young people. For St Nicholas's Emmbrook as the church prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary, and for the opportunities to bring new people into an encounter with God's love.

MONDAY 24 Arborfield with Barkham nr Wokingham: Andy Kearns - Rector, Joel Knight, Julian Bidgood, Iain Lingwood, David Horrocks, Ruth Kershaw. Give thanks for the new people we have been able to welcome to our churches since the summer. Please pray that we would make the most of the gospel opportunities in the run-up to Christmas.

TUESDAY 25 Winnersh, nr Wokingham: Patrick Mukholi - Priest-in-Charge. For the Minister’s strength, wisdom and joy and focus in the light of family illness in this two-church, single-minister parish. Provision of Lay and other ministers. For creative cross-cultural welcome and partnership with the Hong Kongers and others in the Parish.


WEDNESDAY 26 Hurst nr Wokingham: Hugh Thomas - Vicar, Graham Theobald. For our Churchwardens, Jenny and Steve, and all the Parochial Church Council. For our spreading the Good News of Jesus to all in the village community. Preparations for Christmas celebrations and training a new choir.

THURSDAY 27 Owlsmoor, nr Sandhurst: For Churchwardens Margaret Walker and Brenda Davies as vacancy continues. For Revd Jane Kraft, Revd Roy Burgess and Revd Marina Brain keeping our services going. 


FRIDAY 28 Crowthorne, nr Bracknell: Laura Wheatley Downs - Vicar, Jen Green, John Edwards, Carol Frost, Julia Norton, Gillian Gyenes. For our Mustard Seed Building Project, as we look to go carbon neutral and look outwards in our consultation and plans to adapt our space in the nave and redevelop our kitchen and toilet areas. Giving thanks for growth among our families and younger adults.


SATURDAY 29 Sandhurst: John Castle - Rector, John White, Jane Kraft, Sarah Bishop. For wisdom in responding to new people coming to church and wanting to know more about the Christian faith. For our Tree Festival over the Advent Sunday weekend, bringing in many people from our local community.
