Weekly outdoor prayer at St Mary the Virgin Church, has brought the Fawley community and church together.
At St Clement's Church in Oxford, a new project seeks to grow church engagement amongst those in their 20s and 30s and offer a space to support this generation's mental and spiritual health.
‹‹‹‹‹‹‹The Development Fund has awarded grants to eight churches, across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire, to support a range of local church and community projects including a healing garden and youth work to help combat knife crime.
At Trinity Community Centre and church in Fishermead, Milton Keynes, an internet cafe funded by a grant from the Development Fund helps tackle digital poverty.
An after-school club for local families in Henley-on-Thames was funded by a grant from the Development Fund.
New local charity Growing Hope is providing a vital service offering free therapy for children, young people and their families to enable them to flourish.
During the pandemic, the Toddler Drop-In ministry team at St John the Baptist kept in touch with local families via weekly doorstep conversations.
Bishop Steven joined clergy, young people, and leaders of other church denominations for an afternoon of listening, learning and table football.
The Development Fund awards ten churches grants to support a range of projects, including a community choir and day trips for low-income families.
The weekly Renew Wellbeing Cafe at St Andrew's, High Wycombe, offers a safe space for young people from the nearby secondary school to take a break from the pressures of school and society.
