An international day of prayer and awareness against human trafficking will be held on St Bakhita’s Day, 8 February.
This year to mark the day, the Clewer Initiative is calling on churches to join the movement by ringing their bells. Eight churches from across the diocese will feature in a global livestream of bell ringers, organised by Talitha Kum. It is hoped it will draw attention to the issues of modern slavery and human trafficking.
To follow activity on the day or join in, use the hashtag #PrayAgainstTrafficking.
