Bishop of Oxford and Archbishop of Canterbury House of Lords 19th 2016 The Rt Revd Steven Croft has taken his seat in the House of Lords as Bishop of Oxford. Bishop Steven (pictured left, with the Archbishop of Canterbury) was flanked by supporters the Bishop of Southwark, the Rt Rev Christopher Chessun, and the Bishop of Norwich, the Rt Rev Graham James, as he swore the oath of allegiance to the Queen. Bishop Steven has been in the House of Lords since 2013, but previously as Bishop of Sheffield. Earlier this month Bishop Steven paid homage to The Queen, another formal milestone on the journey to taking up office as Bishop of Oxford.
