On Sunday 16th July Bishop Steven came to The Church of the Holy Spirit, Bedgrove, Aylesbury to bless a new building project. The church's '2020' vision is to become more of a hub for our Bedgrove community, and the new 'hub' entrance to the building, with its new kitchen / servery, disabled toilets, lounge and upper room, both symbolises this and makes is practically possible. Bishop Steven used an electric screwdriver to ceremonially insert two screws into the upper floor and prayed a prayer of blessing while the congregation gathered below. The five pictured on the ground are : Martin Kuhrt, vicar, Bishop Steven, Paul Tofield (building contractor), Roger Harwood (architect and warden, and former Director of Glebe for Oxford diocese) and Robin Scott (warden).
