St Laurence Church in Winslow had a celebration of marriage weekend on 21 - 22 June 2014. The beautiful 12th century church was decked out with glorious flowers and a fascinating array of beautiful wedding gowns through the decades were on display. Jean Osborne is pictured (left) next to her wedding gown which was on display. She was married on 11 September 1954. The event was co-ordinated by Barbara Capstick, a member of the congregation, although she explains that it was a team effort involving lots of different people.
Barbara said - "It was a chance to show off St Laurence in all its glory as the ideal wedding venue, here in the heart of our town".
