Holmes has encouraged residents to erect 'stations' in their front gardens, illustrating the journey of the Nativity. Each station will be accompanied by a Bible reading and lights and locals are being encouraged to visit each station (whilst adhering to Government guidelines) to remember the story of Jesus' birth.
The whole village has got behind the initiative, with many contributing their time and talents, from carpenters to artists, to make this commemoration of the Christmas journey happen. Revd.
Holmes concluded,
"I hope our stations will make people reflect upon those who live under oppressive regimes and those who don't have a roof over their heads. Those who are most vulnerable to this virus or those finding themselves in debt. We are all undertaking this difficult journey together, so, let's be the messengers and bringers of joy when we see something positive that others don't. "
