The Rt Revd Colin Fletcher, the Acting Bishop of Oxford said: "It is with great sadness that I am letting you know that the Revd Peter Ball, who was the Ecumenical Officer for Oxfordshire and an SSM in Hanborough and Freeland, died on Wednesday.
We are holding his wife and children in our prayers."Peter was also national youth adviser for the Archbishops' Council and a youth adviser for Oxford and Canterbury dioceses. There will be a Service of Thanksgiving for Peter at 2pm on Friday 24 June at High Street Methodists, Witney. The family have asked for bright colours to be worn by members of the congregation.
