;The Rt Revd Steven Croft, the Bishop of Oxford, said: "Once again our country and the world stand appalled at the terrorist attack in Manchester on Monday and the assault which deliberately targeted children and young people. Today and in the days to come we will weep with those who weep."Manchester's response to the tragedy has been magnificent. There has been anger but also a strong resolve to let light shine in darkness, hope overcome fear and love win over hatred."We must say again and again that these terrible acts are the work of a tiny number of extremists. They do not represent Islam or any people of faith."Churches and schools across the Diocese of Oxford will join our prayers to many others for the injured and bereaved, for peace and security, for the continued growth of understanding and tolerance and love." ;
