THE first ever Mousefest held in Drayton Parslow, Buckinghamshire, has been declared a huge success.

The quirky event sparked media interest when on the first day organisers were interviewed by BBC 3 Counties Radio. Photographers snapped away on the Saturday, getting shots that were prominently displayed in the Bucks Herald.

Susan Piddock, one of the organisers, said: "At times we were quite overwhelmed by the numbers who came to view, and even more so by the fact that so many people wanted to buy the mice.

Furthermore, our mice are going far; we can confirm that two choir boys have gone to Scotland, Elvis mouse has already relocated to Egypt and some school mice and their teacher are getting ready to emigrate to Australia.

We have raised approximately £1,800, some of which will be donated to the Alzheimer's Society." ;

Orders for mice keep flooding in and the Mousefest team is planning to create a Church Mouse Calendar for 2019.
