Anne Perry has joined the diocese as Parish Development Advisor for Dorchester. Anne comes to the diocese with 15 years’ experience in the education sector in Oxfordshire.
A former assistant head teacher and SENCO lead, Anne has also served on her PCC for the past 15 years. As well as a heart for children and education, Anne enjoys supporting her church and helping it to grow in terms of outreach as well as spiritually.
She said: “I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and learning how I can best serve the community of Dorchester. I am excited to get started! Working with children is an important part of everything I have done, and I am enthusiastic about helping churches to grow.”
Director of Ministry and Mission, Andrew Anderson-Gear said: “Anne brings a wealth of transferrable skills from her time as a primary school teacher, assistant head-teacher, and SENCO which I am confident churches across the Dorchester area will very quickly come to value.
“Anne has had experience of a broad range of church contexts and traditions including in France and an Oxford college chapel and for the past 10 years in a rural context where she has served on her local PCC and been part of a thriving family service which has significantly increased the average congregation size on a Sunday morning. I look forward to seeing all that God will do through Anne’s ministry in the coming years.”
