Work to grow ministry with children, families and young people were at the forefront of the latest round of Development Fund grants from the Diocese of Oxford.
Five new lay ministers from Buckinghamshire were licensed at a special service at Christ Church Cathedral on Saturday. Louise Cook, Grace Hunting, Alexander Rees, Geoffrey Strutt and Richard Smith will now be part of the ministry teams at their respective churches.
A vigil for peace, remembrance and unity was held in Oxford last night. Led by the Bishop of Oxford, the Rt Revd Steven, and Imam Monawar Hussain, founder of The Oxford Foundation, as co-chairs of the Oxford Interfaith Network.
Bishop Olivia's farewell service was held at Reading Minster on 29 September.
A Director of Finance and a Director of Communications have been appointed at the Diocese of Oxford.
The King has approved the nomination of The Right Reverend Dr Timothy Wambunya, Vicar of St Paul’s, Slough, in the Diocese of Oxford, for nomination to the Suffragan See of Wolverhampton in the Diocese of Lichfield, in succession to Bishop Clive Gregory, following his retirement.
